This is a quote from the Superintendent of a school district in which some high school students used their taxpayer-funded, mandatory laptop computers (cha–ching!) to make and distribute pornography. The computers are Macs with a built-in camera, so no previous porno experience was required from the technical side.
What punishment do these children face at school? Good question. According to the news story, they could have their computers taken away, or at least lose their internet privileges. And, get this, the school will produce a video for them to watch about the potential consequences of doing such a thing. Ouch, that is tough.
Not to mention that they must deal with the shame of disappointing the Superintendent.
I think I will start up that high school v. homeschool debate with my friends again.
