Christ Jesus, Eternal Word, Divine Master, you who are “the brightness of the Father’s glory and the image of His substance,” who yourself have said: “If anyone love me, I will manifest myself to him,” make us love you with fervor, so that we may receive from you a more intense light on your divinity. For it is in your divinity that the secret of eternal life is to be found; in knowing that our Heavenly Father is the one true God, and that you, Jesus Christ His Son, are His anointed one, sent here below to be our King and the High Priest of our salvation. Enlighten the eyes of our soul by a ray of that divine splendor which on Mount Tabor shone forth, so that our faith in your divinity, our hope in your merits, and our love for your adorable person be both strengthened and increased.
