The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
–W.B. Yeats, The Second Coming
Have you not noticed that there are enough omens of the natural, preternatural and supernatural variety concerning Bergoglio that the Ancients would have stormed the Vatican five years ago at least, armed with pitchforks and torches?
Beginning on the loggia that horrible night in March 2013, his presence filled me with a dread and revulsion for which I could find no natural explanation. Actually, before that, we saw the lightning strike of St. Peter’s the day Benedict XVI made his announcement that he was
abdicating resigning the papacy resigning the munus ministerium.
Then, the earthquakes in Italy. The mysterious lack of medium black cassocks throughout Rome, yet the plenitude of white ones. The Dubia addressed to the Holy Father, without Bergoglio answering them. The refusal to let poor lay trash kiss his ring, and yet he kisses Pope Benedict’s ring. The refusal to bless anyone, at least not with the sign of the cross.
He won’t kneel for Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and he won’t genuflect before Him at Mass. Kneeling to kiss anyone below the knees, that he can do.
Cardinals are announced; they all go see Pope Benedict. Hmm.
And no monastery for Benedict; no, he sits there in the Vatican, wearing white, wearing his ring, being called Holiness, calling himself Holiness, giving his papal blessing.
And the heresy. Let’s not forget the heresy. And finally, what? Idolatry? You mean Bergoglio countenanced flat out idolatry in Catholic churches in Rome, including St. Peter’s? And seemingly, knowingly participated in idolatry?
People, is it really so insane to question the validity of the abdication? To ask the question– even if not answering it– just who is the Pope? And why nobody with any influence and knowledge of what’s right does anything effective about it?
The Church is visible. The Church is indefectible. The Pope? Infallibly protected from teaching error in faith or morals.
Let’s redouble our prayers this Advent, yes?
