Disappointing, but not surprising.
First Sunday of February is the first day, under the unlawful edict of the odious Cupich, that the novus ordo is illegally mandated in Chicago.
And the Canons of St. John Cantius have knuckled under. Instead of standing up for Christ and His Sacraments, they have determined to kowtow to this guy:

I urge readers to join in prayer that the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest will stand firm. I expect them to.
They better stand firm… for all our sakes. But mostly for Christ the King.
What choice did they actually have when Coupy is the “go to guy” in America for the Argentinian?
Say the Mass you have every right to say. Put a thumb in his eye.
They could have called the regime’s bluff. What’s he gonna do to them? As it stands, they have allowed him to force them to act against the truth and (I assume) their consciences.

10. I acknowledge the Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church for the mother
and mistress of all churches; and I promise true obedience to the Bishop of Rome, successor to St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, and Vicar of Jesus Christ.
The Tridentine Creed uses TRUE as a modifier of obedience which illustrates that obeying a Pope who acts contrary to Tradition is false obedience.
Nothing will destroy a group faster than abandonment of its charism. If pastors resist unlawful orders, they may lose property but will retain the respect of their sheep. If pastors bow to unlawful orders, they will keep their property, lose their sheep, and then lose their property when there are no more sheep to pay for the upkeep.
What is the real treasure for the pastor- the sheep or the property?
If we’re going to lose the property, we might as well do it with dignity, and save the sheep in the process. The Lord can provide another property when and where He wills.
