…he would be right about everything. Plus funny, salty, and entertaining generally.
Latest example: the losers at DuckDuckGo. Everyone who used this search engine to avoid censorship and dealt with its horrible performance in actually finding anything, will not regret ditching the product itself. We regret only that the soldiers for freedom keep shooting only themselves.
Maybe my last search on DuckDuckGone will be this: “who is the real pope”

inNot much to say today, as the West continues to hasten its own demise. Keep close to Our Lord and His Mother. Go to confession. Practice a lively charity.
Pray for priests this day, and pray for the success of our sowing.

inV. Have pity on us, O most merciful Lord, and spare Thy people;
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. We all prostrate before Thee, and pour out our tears: we confess unto Thee our hidden sins, and beseech Thee, O God, to pardon us.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. Receive the prayers of Thy priests, and abundantly grant what they ask: and have mercy on Thy people, O Lord.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. Thou art angry against us: our heinous crimes have bowed us down to the earth: and we have grown faint, because there is no hope within us.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. We have been made a prey to evils that we know not, and every evil has come upon us: we have called upon Thee, and we have heard no reply.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. We all cry unto Thee: we all seek Thee: we are repentant, and weeping follow Thee, for we have provoked Thy anger.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. We beseech Thee, we sigh out our prayers to Thee: O Jesus, we prostrate before Thee, and petition Thee: let Thy power raise us from our misery.
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. We sue for peace; grant us peace! Avert the scourge of war, and deliver us, we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord!
R. For we have sinned against Thee.
V. Bow down Thine ear, O most merciful God! Cleanse us from the stains of our sins, and, in Thy pity, deliver us from all dangers.
R. Have mercy on us and spare us.

I have written for more than 15 years now about the two things in Tradville that never fail to disgust and amaze me.
One is the self-flagellating Trad (I’m a Trad and I admit that Trads are really mean. Not me, of course, but I saw one guy one time do something I didn’t like and apparently he wasn’t free of all personal sins. But I’m not like the rest of those mean and nasty Trads; some of my best friends are George Weigel!).
The other, currently au courant, is the self-proclaimed commander of the friendly fire squad (That Trad is bad! That Trad is no Trad at all! Trads like this make all Trads Small!). Watching the auto-demolition of Skojec, Voris, etc is bad enough. But they make money off the faith and their demise is always a possibility linked to that. But when Rorate Caeli, a venerable, effective and respectable operation of long standing decides to pick a fight with Archbishop Viganó, as it inexplicably sides with the global elite’s war agenda, well, that is especially depressing to see.
Forget whether you’re a fan of Archbishop Viganó. But please, are you telling me that, in this clown world of sins crying to heaven for vengeance, Archbishop Viganó is a PROBLEM that NEEDS to be addressed? Really?
Please. Can we not act with charity among those in the household of the faith?

I could not let this Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas go by without recalling to mind the Solemn High Mass celebrated by Canon Karl W. Lenhardt at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis on this night exactly fifteen years ago, March 7, 2007. I can’t believe it’s been that long ago.
It was the first traditional Latin Mass celebrated at the cathedral since 1969. May God bless Raymond Cardinal Burke for this and all he has done to promote the return of the traditional Mass in St. Louis and around the world.
And would it be inappropriate to mention the 2007 was a way better year than 2022? That year marked not only the return of the traditional Mass to the cathedral but also the first priestly ordinations in the traditional rite for the Institute in the United States.
And, of course, 2007 had the best of all: the promulgation of Summorum Pontificum.
These times of tribulation and suffering will no doubt produce greater fruit to come. That’s how God does these things. And I know our Lady will triumph. If we are spared, her victory will bring such great things as to make everything we’ve gone through pale in significance.
Until that glorious time comes at last, keep your heads down, all the better to duck that fire coming from the sky. May the great Saint Thomas Aquinas intercede for us and for the whole Church. Amen.
