On the (real) Roman Calendar for today, the Mass is for the patron saint of my hairline, St. Ubald. But today is also the feast of St. John Nepomuk, a martyr killed for standing up for the rights of the Church over the secular power and for refusing to violate the seal of the confessional. A very timely saint, methinks. His Catholic Encyclopedia entry is here.
St. John Nepomuk, pray the Lord to send priests and prelates who will defend His Mystical Bride!
Ubald is the patron of your hairline too?
